Hello! My name is Hillary.
I started my fitness journey in January 2016, after my daughter was born, by signing up for an Aerial class (4 to be exact). At first, I did it because I needed to get out of the house. Little did I know, those 30 seconds of courage to try something new, would change my life forever. Like many others, I struggle with depression and anxiety. For those who struggle also, we know how hard it can be to keep up with daily life and self care. That first month of classes was hard. So, hard. I was sore, tired and also had the mom guilt of leaving my kids. But I stuck with it and learned that fitness was critical for my overall health and well-being, physically and mentally. In 2018, I had my youngest daughter, and my health declined. In 2019 I was told that I would, most likely, have chronic pain for the rest of my life and that I needed to take it easy. Stretch and walk when I can. Anxiety and depression set in, very quickly. I couldn’t hold my babies, I struggled with everyday tasks. I was sad and unhappy. December 8, 2021 was day one. Day one of taking my life back. Day one of my goal to do my children’s hair in the morning. Day one, even though I didn’t realize it at the time, to become somebody who I am truly proud of. I believe in meeting people where they are at, right now. There is no road map or straight line to success and no two individuals will share the same path. I want to help people on their journey and to find their strength. I want to help people start their Day One. P.s. I can and will carry all of my kids for as long as I am able. |
